Common Questions

How do I add a co-parent or grandparent?

Open SettingsFamilyInvite a family member. Memory Jar generates a CloudKit share link you can send via Messages, Mail, or AirDrop. The recipient taps the link to join your family graph.

How do I approve memories from family members?

When co-parents or grandparents submit memories, they appear in your SettingsFamilyPending approvals queue. Tap to approve or reject. Approved memories sync to everyone in the family.

How do I export my memories?

Open SettingsYour Memories. Tap Create photobook for a print-ready PDF, or Export to CSV for a complete data archive.

How do I sign out or delete my account?

Open Settings → scroll to Account. Sign Out keeps your local memories intact and lets you sign back in anytime. Delete Account permanently removes your sign-in and ends family sharing — local memories on this device remain until you delete the app.

What does "sealed letter" mean?

Sealed Letters are letters you write today that deliver on a future date — your child's eighteenth birthday, their wedding day, the morning they leave for college. They stay locked in Memory Jar until that exact date.

What is the AI Yearbook?

At the end of each year, Memory Jar uses on-device Apple Intelligence to write a short narrative summary of your child's year, built from the moments you captured. The narrative never leaves your device.

Where is my data stored?

Memory Jar uses Apple's CloudKit Shared Database. Your family's memories sync directly between your iCloud accounts. Memory Jar does not operate a server that holds your content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

I'm having trouble with the app. What do I do?

First, try force-quitting and reopening Memory Jar (swipe up on the app card from the multitasking view). If the issue continues, email us at support@branchlabsapp.com with your iOS version, device model, and a brief description of what happened. Screenshots help.

Subscription Help

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Open the Settings app on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → SubscriptionsMemory Jar PremiumCancel Subscription. Your premium features remain active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

If you've previously subscribed and need to restore on a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID, then open SettingsPlanRestore Purchases.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Memory Jar charge, and request a refund.

Privacy & Security

Memory Jar never sees your data. Your family's memories sync directly between your iCloud accounts. The AI Yearbook narrative is generated on-device with Apple Intelligence — nothing about your child's life is ever sent to a server we operate.
